I have also a W2k12 R2 Server in a workgroup. I have installed the wsus role but the post-deploymend configuration was not successfull. It aborts because the server is not joined to a domain. So i can not go on with my wsus installation. How have you done that so that the post-deployment configuration was successfull? The only difference is that i not use the Windows Internal Database, i use sql server database.

The error message of the post-deployment configuration is: “Fatal Error: The local computer is not joined to a domain or the domain cannot be contacted.” That is the point where i do not get any further. I wonder how you could do this without a domain. If you have new hints for me that would be nice.
